Look At My Beautiful Family!

Cup Stacking Champion

Well he might not be the champion yet, but I think this is a pretty dang good cup tower built by my little man.

Peek A Boo

We have had a case of pink eye in the house the. This was last Monday. Emma had her turn with Pink Eye so she got to stay home with mommy. I was looking for her because it was nap time, and who would have guessed that I couldn't find her. Well all of a sudden I heard a light little knock on the pantry door so I got my camera ready just in case she did something cute/funny. And sure enough she opened the door and said "dere you are."

Superbowl Sunday

We all know how exciting Superbowl Sunday can be right? Well I left for the store for like 40 minutes to get some food for the game and when I came back, this is where I found my girl. For those of you who know my house you probably recognize where she is, for those who don't she is exactly in the middle of the line that divides the kitchen and living room. For some reason I can't get her to take a nap in her bed, but without fail, every time we skip nap time she falls asleep on the floor.

She must have been resting up for her big half time show. : )

HMMMMMMMM.............

I was cleaning the kitchen and Emma was playing in her room, or so I thought. When I went to go upstairs, this is what I saw. She is so funny, she puts her stuffed animals in her bed and covers them with blankets. She says they are taking naps.

Ain't I cute?

So on Sunday I was putting laundry away and Brad asked me to send him some pics of the kids. So I said "Carter daddy wants a picture of you". So he got right up in my face and here it is.

Who sleeps like this?

Now as I previously mentioned my little Angel is SASSY. She has been giving us the hardest time about going to bed. She will often sit in her room playing or talking to herself for an hour and a half after I put her to bed. So on Sunday's sometimes I let her skip her nap so she will go to bed early without fussing, and sometimes this is the result. We had to go grocery shopping and she fell asleep on the way back. I didn't let her sleep long, and boy was she mad when I woke her up. But I couldn't resist this picture.

Get Schooled on Brad

What can I say about my love. Anyone who knows him knows he can be very eccentric. He is so much fun and one of the sweetest people I know. I can tell you right now that I spoil him way to much but if I didn't love it, I wouldn't do it. He is loyal, caring, funny, loud, crazy etc etc. He loves soccer and without it I think we would all go crazy. He is very loving, and despite the fact that I constantly talk about how (in nice terms) plump I've gotten, he still loves everything about me. He is very loyal to his friends and family. He is a wonderful father. He works odd hours so sometimes does not get to see the kids much on some days, but oh man as soon as he walks in that door he has a kid on each leg. He yells at video games like you wouldn't believe. He has more shoes than I do. He has me convinced that he doesn't know how to do laundry, dishes, cook, and numerous other things. And even though I know he could very well do all of those things, he is very very convincing. He watches funny videos on the computer all the time. He is very hard to surprise because he somehow always has a way of getting it out of me. He is very good at his job. He is very good at soccer. He hates to be alone. I think if it was possible he would sleep his entire day off just to avoid not having anyone to talk to. He used a cheesy pick up line to get me. He is a genius. I am convinced of this because I have taken classes with him and despite the fact that I always went to class and he never went, I always studied, he didn't even buy the book, I took notes, he slept, he still got better grades on the tests than I did. He and I am not sure how, can sleep till noon and then take a nap at 3pm. He can sing, but he won't. He for some reason knows the words to the oldest strangest songs, but not very many new ones. He knows everything about computers (and it is self taught). He makes fun of me because I rely on him to do most things electronic. He is good at everything he does, even getting lost. For some reason no matter when he gets lost he will always find his way out. I think they call that a jack of all trades right? Well that is enough for now.

Get Schooled on Emma

Now Emma, she is just about the funniest little girl I know. She is all daddy when it comes to personality. A little in the looks department as well. She is loud and obnoxious (sorry baby), and oh so funny. She is hilarious. I mean the faces she makes, the things she says, hilarious. It is amazing to me how this one little girl can have so much personality. She is full of life and love. She is my snuggler, and walks around every where with her banket. She loves shoes and clothes, and did I mention cars, trains, and everything thing her brother is in to. She will run around like crazy with him until they pass out. She is so fast too. I can't tell you how many times I have had to chase her down the side walk. She loves her daddy too. Brad always said he was afraid to have a girl, but I can tell you right now, he is on his way to being wrapped around her little finger. She is however, and I think this is what he was so afraid of, SASSY, and TEMPERAMENTAL. One minute she will be the sweetest little thing in the world, and the next she is starin you down, giving the death look. But she is sweet, man is she sweet. She loves to be rocked (we call it our snuggle time) and she loves Eskimo kisses. She is so pretty too, and loves to have her hair done. There is more to come on Emms, so stay tuned.

Get Schooled on Carter

Taking a que from my sister-in-law I am going to give you all the 411 on my family. Starting with Carter. Carter is an amazing, wonderful, loving, helpful little man. And I say little man because he is wise beyond his years. He is so smart. He knows things little boys shouldn't know. He does things little boys shouldn't do. He is also crazy. He has recently taken to running full speed from the kitchen to the living room and doing this jump kick onto the couch and flipping around. It's hard to explain but hilarious to see. He may look just like daddy but he is all me when it comes to personality. He is more quiet and reserved, and very witty. He loves all things cars. Hot wheels, video games, movies, cartoons, shirts, you name it he loves it. He is obsessed with this sweatshirt that he got at daycare that is about 1 size too small but he loves it and wears it everywhere. He sleeps in it, wheres it over everything. He is crazy. He is a lot of fun as well. He loves to do everything that daddy does. If daddy walks around shirtless so does Carter. If daddy puts on socks, so does Carter. He loves his sister, but like any big brother is not always the nicest to her. When they play together it is wonderful though. He will chase her around, running from monsters. They will play cars, watch movies, brush their teeth, do just about everything together, unless she is annoying him, then he wants nothing to do with her. He keeps asking when he gets to start school, so that should be fun. He loves soccer, and wants to start baseball. He wants every single thing he sees on television, and he always, always, always has to sleep with Donner (our boxer). And he loves me, I know this because he tells me about 100 times a day. Well that's all for now, more on Carter later.

Weight Loss Success or Failure

For those of you who knew me growing up you know that I have always been an active person. I never really worried about my weight because I didn't have to. Well now that I am at the ripe old age of 26 I do have to worry about it and you better believe that I do. I cannot believe how big I am. My wonderful husband says that he loves my body and all that jazz, but you know what they say, "love is blind". Now for those of you who have known me for the past couple of years you know that I have been trying deperately to lose the "baby weight", that is what I call it, even though my babies are 4 and 2. Now some say that I am not "that big", but I will honestly tell you that there is about 50lbs extra on my body than there needs to be. I am an athletic frame so I will never be a size 0,2,or even 4. I would like to lose 30lbs minimum 50 max. Now this is not going to be easy since I have been trying to do it for a while now. However I have never blogged about it and actually posted results before so I am hoping this, along with the biggest loser challenge I have joined at work will help motivate me. There are of course a few vices that I need help giving up. Sugar is one of them (although I have not been as bad lately). I do still love me some dessert though. My real problem, and one that will be a huge obstical for me to overcome is my addiction to caffiene more specific Dr. Pepper. It is like CRACK to me. I was off of it for about a year, but then I lapsed and not I can't get enough. I need help. Anywho, I am starting all over again. I have a gym membership and as soon as I kick this helacious cold I will be getting back there. I am going to provide weekly "honest" updates on my progress. I am not too comfortable with posting my starting weight for all to see (maybe if I reach my goal I will), but I will post how much I lose/gain every week. Keep in mind my minimum and maximum goals that I have highlighted and keep on me. I appreciate all the support, critisism, and advice that anyone has to offer me. Here's to my success, hopefully. My first weigh in is tomorrow so I will post my progress.
-Tam-

Week 1, 01/06/2009: Initial Weigh in
Week 2, 01/13/2009: Stayed the same. Dang this cold. I really need to get back to the gym.
Week 3, 01/20/2009: Lost 1lb 4oz. Not too bad although my goal wsa 2lbs. I did make it to the gym yesterday, so just need to keep that up.
Week 4, 01/27/2009: Lost 1lb. Total loss: 2.4lbs. It's better than seeing the scale go up, but htis is going to be a slow process if I don't step it up. Time for starvation. I'm only kidding. I'll give it at least another week before I resort to that : ).
Week 5, 02/03/2009: Down another .4lbs so that is a total of 2.8lbs. I need to step up the workouts a bit and I have decided to take the weight watchers method and count points. We will see if my efforts pay off next week.
Week 6, 02/11/2009: Stayed the same this week. Better than gaining but still a disappointment. I started counting points, but didn't do so well on the weekend. I am being more strict this week with keeping track, so hopefully it will pay off.
Week 7, 02/18/2009: Down another LB so that makes 3.8 total. I really need to get to the gym. Hopefully it will prove easier once we move because there is one right up the road.
Week 8, 02/25/2009: Stayed the same again. I haven't been to the gym in a while becasue I haven't had time. Luckily when we move there will be one right by my house so hopefully I can get there more.
Week 9, 03/04/2009: Stayed the same again. It is time to step it up.
Week 10, 03/11/2009: Lost 1lb. Well we are on the right track. I just need to step it up a bit more. Watching what I eat and finally getting to the gym will help I think.
Week 11, 03/18/2009: Down 4lbs. Now that's what I like to see. Let't hope I can keep this up. Next week is the last weigh in, but not the last of my weightloss or blog. I will continue to keep everyone posted.

Oh yeah like you believe this

Awe aren't they just the cutest little brother/sister duo you have ever seen. Yeah right. You better believe that this adorable snapshot hug ended in a wrestling match in the middle of my bedroom floor. I have to give it to her, as small as she is, my little Emms is one tough coockie. Of course I broke it up before any blood shed, but I has happy to capture this rare loving moment between my two little "Angels".
